So I am in Calgary for about five days this week. Mainly for two reasons:
1. To see my Grandma
2. To see my mom
My grandma is in the hospital right now, she's had a stroke and she's not ever going to get out of bed again. She also isn't coherent very much anymore. She will talk and stuff but you can't understand her and she doesn't make much sense.
It was HARD seeing her. It was awful. I might joke and stuff but really I can't deal with shit like that. She's so hopeless and in the exact state she never wanted to be in. Its sad, its really, really sad.
I never want to be in that state.
But after seeing her we went to my uncles house and had a bland dinner. Then through the texting I talked to Chris and he said he would go on msn. Or that he wanted too. Well he's at a party right now and the only good part of my day hasn't happened. I was really looking forward to it, because I miss him so much. But whatever, I hope he has a good time at his party and I'll just sit here doing homework.
It hurts getting your hopes up and then not getting anything.

Soup & Such
Oh man! I am so excited for dinner! I'm making a Leek and Broccoli Soup and its really quite good. =3 Its got a spicy little kick in the end but when you first taste it there isn't much spice. I'll put the recipe at the end of this post.
So I realized that my post yesterday was reaaally long. They probably wont be that long usually. O well.
We were planning on going to Stanley Park today but we slept in like WOAH instead. Tomorrow though we will go for sure. But instead we went to the grocery store and Starbucks today, yum! Chris got their new Lemonade thingy, its really good GET IT.
And now I'm making Leek & Broccoli Soup, French Bread with Balsamic Vinegar and Olive Oil, and some Lemon and Herb Chicken Breasts.
Other than that I just wanted to post this recipe because its REALLY good and people should try it out!

A Grand Day
So today I decided that I wanted to once again start talking about my little life. I'm not sure why, I know I'll never become famous, but its nice to have a place to think out loud.
Also today I actually left my house and went somewhere. As it is my vacation I should be doing lots of things, but alas I am not. This is the first school break I have had away from home and where I want to go and see everything I can its nice to just sit around and chill. I'm not too big on going out to bars and stuff, so I haven't been going out doing that, which then causes me to have to find reasons to leave my house.
So today Chris (My Boy~~ <3) and I woke up after a longlonglong 16h sleep. It was probably so long because we were losers who totally pulled an all-nighter last night. Ownage. We went to bed at 8 last night then woke up at 12:30 today. Way to go. Our original plans were to go to Stanley Park but we scrapped that. Then after unclogging the shower of Chris's and our roommates hair (Seriously SO gross.) our roommate called us from where ever he was and asked if we wanted to go for sushi.
If you go to New Westminster Skytrain Station there's a little place called Kirin (Ki) Sushi, its SOOOO good. Well its the best sushi I've had in Vancouver, almost as good as the stuff in my hometown. It's really cheap too, generally like $2 a roll! Nice! They also have an awesome lunch special where its $7.50 for 3 things off a list. Its a pretty good deal. =3
So after lunch which was super filling, we got onto the skytrain down to WaterFront Station and then went to Granville. Yay! It was so nice there, I love it. I've always have had a nice soft spot for places like that, as well as farmer markets.
We ended up buying me a purse (Which was the main reason we went all the way down there.) I got this purse in Mexico and its got 3 pockets and is messenger bad style, only not very big. Its nice, I like having a purse that I can just wear all the time and not worry about it falling off my shoulder. I've gone through two other purses like this, and I'm hooked. This one is very red, whereas my other ones were more blue and green.
Other then the purse we picked up some cheese: Brie, Dill Havarti, French Goat Cheese and some Provolone. (Which I have never tried.) We also got some Chocolate Éclairs and Chris got a little Chocolate Cheesecake... Ew. Then we got some leeks, thyme and dill and some really cute little ravioli's. I might take a picture of them when we make them tonight, they are just so cute!
With our shopping done we grabbed a drink and then headed to sit by the sea and look across to downtown Vancouver. That's when we saw it, the little boat bus thing. We were awestruck (not really but whatever) and since neither of us had ever been on it we decided to ride it on down to science world because the skytrain station is close there. It was really neat, I really enjoyed it and it was nice to just sit and talk with Chris about something other then school and to just talk about our surroundings. It was just really, really nice and I think we need to do stuff like that more often. =3
THEN THEN!!! When were transferring on the skytrain we saw a girl who used to be in my Graphic Design course. Okay, she was NOT the best designer there, actually compared to the rest of us she should have just dropped out as soon as she stepped in there and saved herself the 10k. =S I guess she quit because she got a JOB as a Graphic Designer. Oh my god. I almost faced-palmed on the spot.
Oh Jeeze. It turns out she hated school and that she knew the VP of the company. WELL that makes sense now. Hahaha. I know I wouldn't of hired no matter what. Ugh.
Anyways~~~ Now I'm home being a loser as per usual. Oh well, I wouldn't have it any other way. ... Right now anyways.
