Soup & Such

Oh man! I am so excited for dinner! I'm making a Leek and Broccoli Soup and its really quite good. =3 Its got a spicy little kick in the end but when you first taste it there isn't much spice. I'll put the recipe at the end of this post.

So I realized that my post yesterday was reaaally long. They probably wont be that long usually. O well.

We were planning on going to Stanley Park today but we slept in like WOAH instead. Tomorrow though we will go for sure. But instead we went to the grocery store and Starbucks today, yum! Chris got their new Lemonade thingy, its really good GET IT.

And now I'm making Leek & Broccoli Soup, French Bread with Balsamic Vinegar and Olive Oil, and some Lemon and Herb Chicken Breasts.

Other than that I just wanted to post this recipe because its REALLY good and people should try it out!

Leek Broccoli Soup

2 to 3 Cups Water
Powdered Chicken Bouillon (Broth)
2 to 3 Leeks
Small Head of Broccoli
5 Heaping TBSP Plain Yogurt
1 to 2 TSP Garlic Chili
1 Small Lime
¼ LB Butter
1/8 Cup Chopped Parsley or Oregano

Boil 2 to 3 cups of water in a pot
Add powdered Chicken Bouillon (Broth) when water is boiling

While water is coming to a boil
Finely chop up ¼ of the Leeks and Broccoli and add to boiling water

Liquefy remainder of Leaks & Broccoli with 5 heaping TBSP of plain yogurt

Add Garlic Chili into stock (to taste)
Squeeze 1 small Lime into stock
Put liquefied vegetables into stock
Put in 1/4 LB of butter into stock
Add some parsley or oregano

Enjoy!
